Called to Preach

Hey family, hope you are all doing great, and for some of us that have been home-schooling yaay!!! to the holidays. It has been an interesting season, juggling home school and everything in between, God has indeed been good, His grace is sufficient. Thank you so much for supporting the blog, it has been really encouraging and I hope you have been blessed so far. I also hope you have been able to listen to the Revive Podcast, if not, then what are you waiting for? I thought we were friends, haha, but honestly do tune in there is a lot in store for you, you can check that out HERE after this post lol.

Today I was reminded of the purpose for this blog, beyond the inspiration, teaching, encouraging posts it is actually a means to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and save the lost. The more I look at the world, the more I hear Gods cry for the lost and His love towards them.  As Christians, we have an assignment as a whole and that is to share the GOOD NEWS of the saving power of Jesus Christ. God loves the world (the people) that he gave His only son to die for them, you and me.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3;16

We shouldn’t be afraid or ashamed to share the gospel for it is Gods saving power, I love what the Apostle Paul said in Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”  You don’t know who needs to hear the gospel, you don’t know who is in need of salvation, so let us not be quiet, let us use all the opportunities we have to share the good news and win many to Christ. You don’t have to be a pastor, evangelist, prophet or function in any of the offices to spread the good news, the bible says in Romans 10:14-15:

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

You might say, but Lisa I am not called to preach, well-beloved Jesus said in Mark 16:15 …  “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. So that answers your question, everyone has been called to preach the gospel, we are all part of the great commission: Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The good thing is that you don’t have to do this alone, you have the Holy Spirit with you, and he gives us utterance. So beloved let us preach the GOOD NEWS let us talk boldly about our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. if you know people that are close to you and are not saved, this is the time to pray for them, ask the Holy Spirit for utterance and talk to them about Jesus. Thank God for social media, use what has been provided to us to spread the Good News, Hope, peace and love, these things can only be found in Christ. The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few! Matthew 9:37, let us not waste any more time, you can start today by sharing the salvation post to your friends and family who need to hear about Jesus just by clicking HERE. We are Gods army and we will finish our race.

With love always

Lisa Maxwell – be blessed and be a blessing

The Validation Trap

Are you always feeling the need to seek validation from others for you to know that you are walking in purpose? A lot of times, even if we do not know we are seeking validation from people around us or from others in general, I feel like subconsciously we find ourselves doing it.  The problem with that is you will end up being stressed out, burnt out, frustrated and soon you will end up packing up and giving up on your goals and visions and everything that you have set out to do.
